Hello! I'm an undergraduate second-year at Arizona State University. I love Arizona's sweeping vistas, star-scraping mountains, and diversity of flora and fauna. I'm a hiker, a backpacker, a camper, and an all-around adventurer who loves popcorn and cats. As an ecology and conservation major, I'm concerned about the longevity of Spaceship Earth's incredible biodiversity. As a data science major, I'm a statistics and coding nerd.
NetLogo agent-based modeling work (BEET Lab) -- modifying a traffic model to simulate koala car strike deaths (current)
Field research assistant (iSEE Lab) -- assisted with the collection of Oecophylla smaragdina queens in Townsville, Australia (summer 2024, with upcoming school-year involvement)
Space microbiology and agricultural sustainability project (University of Kansas, Sikes Lab) -- carried out a lettuce germination experiment in hostile soil with varying levels of human waste and a control for microorganisms (summer 2024)
Biobanter is a fun and engaging set of events during the school year at ASU! Students have the opportunity to talk with faculty and peers about biological concepts that relate to popular culture. Biobanter is organized through the School of Life Sciences (SOLS), but any student can attend any event. (Food is provided!)
